Pena Palace

Sintra, Portugal

The second stop on the loop from Sintra is the awesome Pena Palace.  I really wish it wasn’t raining while we were there because I would have loved to explore the palace grounds.  The rain also meant everyone wanted to pay for the bus ride that takes you from the palace grounds up the steep hill to the palace.  Unfortunately, that meant a long line, but it was worth it.  I have a handful of images to post where I will explain more about the palace, but the first thing that stands out about this palace is the great combination of colors.  I wanted to capture the colors against the stormy sky together with these great arched hallways.
