Our first night in Lisbon, we didn’t have anything planned and didn’t have a ton of time, so we just picked a big square and headed out. It was the right choice. The area between Praco de Comercio and Rossio Square was one of our favorite things of our whole trip. We got of the bus just as the sun was setting and I sprinted for the shore and started shooting. If only we had been there five minutes earlier, I could have set up my Platypod and composed some better images and long exposures. Unfortunately, the timing was just off enough that I had to shoot handheld what was right in front of me. This ended up being the only real spectacular sunset we got in the two weeks we were in Europe too.
