I knew Parc Guell was a place I wanted to visit when I first saw images of the crazy houses Gaudi designed there, but then I read so many bad reviews that we ended up putting it on the back burner. Luckily, the other stuff we wanted to do didn’t take as much time and we had a free evening to go check it out. Unfortunately, because we didn’t plan it, we also didn’t buy advance tickets. The wait times to get in were hours without an advance ticket so we opted to not go inside. Even then, we were able to see most of the park from outside the entrance and had fun just walking around looking at the park and shopping with the street vendors.
In this image, I wanted to capture the evening light hitting the top of the house. Had there been decent clouds in the sky, I probably would have convinced my wife to stay for the sunset, but I wasn’t going to ruin the night for my family with that sky!
