We have been travelling together for over a decade, and travelling separately long before that. We have lived on three continents and visited 23 countries. We have lived and traveled in Europe as poor students, stayed in $700 per night beach resorts, and just about everything in between. We have traveled solo, as a couple, with friends and as a family with kids.
We have dragged broken luggage through a snowstorm, had a kid poop everywhere on a train, been scammed by a taxi driver, been peed on by a tiger, woken up in a Japanese hospital, gotten on the wrong train without the other person, and fallen asleep during an expensive boat tour. We have also watched our kids swim with dolphins, eaten gyros beneath the Acropolis, driven through fall colors in Transylvania, and been humbled at Auschwitz.
