Trail of the Cedars

Glacier National Park, Montana

On our last day in Glacier National Park, we woke up very early and drove Going to the Sun Road through the Park to get to the Trail of the Cedars.  Unlike during the day, there were no cars on the road so we made it well before sunlight.  After waiting a while, we did this easy little hike.  There was plenty of light to see, but not much for shooting with a closed aperture so it required at least a thirty-second exposure.   I made a number of images from different parts in the trail, but this was by far my favorite with the little curve in the path that still goes through the entire frame and the great tree to the left that is being hit by the morning light.

  1. Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different
then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  2. This is really interesting, You are a very skilled
blogger. I’ve joined your feed and look forward to seeking
more of your wonderful post. Also, I’ve shared your site in my social networks!
