The mosquitoes had driven me to leave Boulder Meadows Reservoir, but I decided to suck it up and go around one more corner, which led to a small trail that I followed until it opened up to this beautiful scene. While I wasn’t going to get any sunset colors, the sun hitting the mountains was pretty magical. This is a nine-image panorama where I tried to capture the entire scene.
