Sunset at Swiftcurrent Lake

Glacier National Park, Montana

Another stop in my packed trip to Glacier National Park was sunset at Swiftcurrent Lake.  Unsurprisingly, we didn’t get any good clouds again.  There was a nice glow left by the sun after it vanished behind the mountains.  Combined with a long exposure for smooth water, I felt like it created a pleasing image.   I used my Luzid combination four-stop ND/circular polarizer filter to smooth out the choppy water.  I liked it because it still left just just the shapes of a few ripples in the water.  Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do about the blurry bush.  I tried taking a faster exposure and masking it in, but I could not get it to look natural at all.
