Sacre Coeur

Paris, France

The Sacre Coeur is a pretty amazing church atop a hill in Paris.  I think it is a must-see attraction if you are in Paris for more than two days.  The view of the city was underwhelming as you could not see the Eiffel Tower or many other important buildings.  So, don’t go for the view.  Go for the awesome church, the free carousel, and the great atmosphere in the markets and small streets on the way.

Fortunately, I had some time to do some photography while we were there.  Unfortunately, I neglected to bring my tripod or platypod that day so I was stuck with the images I could shoot handheld.  This image was about 20-30 minutes before sunset when the first colors were starting to show.
